Learning to Write it Right
Back to the Basics–English Brush-up for the Small Business Owner
Businesses are constantly being judged by their potential customers. One of the ways they are judged is how they communicate both in person and on paper. In today's world "paper" includes E-mail. This class is designed as a basic brush-up course on English skills. The training class will review troublesome areas of English usage for business writers of all kinds.
Participants will learn how to revise for clarity, emphasis and grammatical correctness. Working through exercises that emphasize word choice, sentence structure and punctuation are especially useful for writers. Spell check is great, but it cannot be the only check used. Learning how to revise, review and edit your work will build both your skills and confidence.
